Executive Summary

This paper outlines a process to improve online visibility through the building on inbound hyperlinks from three types of external websites. Hyperlinks have been known to improve organic search engine positioning and web traffic.

The Process

Creation of Primary Sites

(Article placement sites) – These sites are ones on which you’ll create content related to your target webpage (where you are trying to drive traffic to). For each of these primary sites, unique content or articles are placed. In the content, place a number of links back to the target webpage (not more than 3 because you might be penalized for excessive promotion or linking). The content should be at least a 100 words and no more than 2 to 3 paragraphs.

Secondary Sites

(Linking Sites) – these websites are Web 2.0 social bookmarking websites, which allow users to add a bookmark (link) to your primary websites. The best practics is to create only 4 or 5 bookmarking links for each primary website. Since there are so many of these websites, it is useful to create groups of 8 or 10 that each link back to a different one of the primary sites.

e.g. Secondary websites group1 will link to Primary site Xanga.com – Secondary sites group2 will link to Primary site Gather.com, etc..

  • Group 2 - rawsugar, simpy, wink, de.lirio.is, del.icio.us, dig, reddit
  • Group3 - shoutwire, propeller, web2list, bloghop, blinkbits, fark, linkagogo
  • Group 4 – wirefan, ka-boom-it, swik.net, faves.com, netvouz.com, mister-wong.com, jumptags
  • Group 5 – danogo, buddymarks, lilisto.com, tagtooga, tellfriends.com

Other Secondary sites can be added as they are sourced

Ignition Sites

These final sites are used to generate notice from Google. These sites are vital because of SE spiders index them regularly. These site should link directly to your Target Site, not back to primary sites.
